Backend integration add-on

Tally-ready API for plywood and hardware traders.

Use quickChallan for daily shop operations, then share selected business records with accountants, developers or a Tally connector through a secure backend API.

Manual Tally export remains suitable for many shops. API access is for businesses that need automated handover through their own integration or connector.

What the API can provide

Start with read-only access for clean accounting handover. Write access should be added only after the workflow is proven.

groups

Parties

Customer and supplier master data with names, contact details and ledger references.

receipt_long

Delivery challans

Challan records with item lines, quantity, rate, GST fields, charges and document numbers.

payments

Payments

Receipts, party payments and adjustment records for accountant review.

inventory_2

Stock movement

Inward, outward and stock movement records for item-level reconciliation.

shopping_cart_checkout

Purchases

Supplier bill entries, purchase items and purchase-side totals where available.

account_balance_wallet

Cash registry

Cash in, cash out, opening and expected closing records for controlled daily review.

How it works

Built for backend access, not app scraping.

The API is served from QuickChallan's backend. Clients do not need to read from the mobile app or access the database directly.

  • Business owner approves API access.
  • QuickChallan issues an API key for that business.
  • The integration requests data by endpoint and date range.
  • The accountant or connector maps records into Tally.

Important note

Tally commonly runs on a local desktop setup. For automated accounting handover, the customer may need a local connector or an accountant-side import process.

QuickChallan API can provide the controlled business data. The final mapping into Tally depends on the customer's Tally setup and accounting rules.

Security and control

API access should be treated like business data access. The default approach is limited, auditable and easy to disable.

key API key per business

Each business gets controlled access instead of shared credentials.

visibility Read-only first

Start with exports and accounting handover before allowing any write-back workflow.

date_range Date-range limits

Integrations can be restricted to practical date windows for safer usage.

history Audit logs

Track who accessed data, what endpoint was used and when it happened.

Commercial model

Manual export stays simple. API access is an add-on.

Most small traders only need manual export for the accountant. API access is for businesses that want a technical integration.

Included in app plan Manual Tally export

Download or share accounting-ready files when the accountant needs records.

Paid add-on Backend API access

API key, selected endpoints, date-range access and technical support for integration teams.
